2024: A Very Good Year

Truly, because of our very supportive soccer community, the future of WA Legends has never looked brighter.

It was a banner year, 2024. We fulfilled our partnership with Sounders FC by curating a pop-up exhibit for both the May 18 Heritage Night match and the June 15 50th Anniversary match. In between those dates we selected our five new recipients for the Jimmy Gabriel Memorial Scholarship.

Our board members and their many friends raised funds through the RAVE Foundation 50/50 Raffle sales and securing corporate several sponsorships for our Oct. 30 Evening With Cliff McCrath, presented by TBW Law. That night featured a number of video and speaking tributes, capped by presentations to Uncle Nubby, including an ambassadorship for Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026.

Finally, at that event we received $45,950 in pledges toward the Jimmy Gabriel Memorial Scholarship. We were overwhelmed by that generous response, yet our stated goal was $47,000. We still have $1050 to go. To help us blow through that mark; click this link to our donor portal.

Soon, we will begin putting plans for 2025 into place. We will share news on our social media channels. Can we top 2024? We sure will try.
